**New features**

**API changes**

- When the ThreeDSecure protocolVersion is not provided, it now defaults to "2.2.0" instead of "2.1.0".
- Transaction advice can provide additional information about a transaction from the host. 
- Added support for sending email confirmations to customers upon creation, update, and cancellation of a subscription when doSendConfirmationEmails is true.
- Transaction resource now has a totalRefundable money amount field that indicates how much is left to be refunded.
- Payment session now has a createdBy field which will be mapped into the transaction for HPP transactions.

**Back Office UI changes**

- Pay-By-Link filters now allow selecting multiple statuses to search for.

**API changes**

- New resources:
    - Surcharge Advice - A surcharge advice calculates the amount of surcharge and provides an adjusted transaction total for specific card numbers.
    - Refund Surcharge Advice - A refund surcharge advice calculates the amount of refundable surcharge and provides an adjusted refund transaction amount using the previous surcharge advice and the original parent transaction.
- New fields:
    - Added surchargeAdvice to the Payment Session resource to support the Surcharge Advice resource.
    - Added surchargeAdvice and refundSurchargeAdvice to the Transaction resource to support the Surcharge Advice and Refund Surcharge Advice resources.
- New type:
    - Surcharge - Surcharge information if surchargeAdvice or refundSurchargeAdvice was created for the transaction.

**Back Office UI changes**

- Navigation - Updated the layout of the left-hand menu items. The Account selector has been moved out of the left navigation menu and into the main page content. It will only appear on pages it is relevant to.
- Surcharging - Added the ability to add surcharges to transactions. This also applies to hosted payments pages. It is only available to NA merchants and it must be enabled through boarding systems.
- Password reset - Resetting the password no longer requires the user to enter the old and new passwords. The user is now sent a link to their email when resetting their password where they will be asked to enter and confirm their new password.
- Hosted payments page and pay-by-link settings - Email related settings for hosted payments page and pay-by-link have been consolidated. The user can now configure the email settings for these at the Hosted Payments Page Settings.
- Payment settings - Added the optional Description field that allows users to add notes to transactions at the Create Transaction page.
- Dynamic currency conversion - Updated the DCC disclosure information notice at the Create Transaction page, the presentation of the currency selection, and the DCC statement in the popup confirmation dialog.

**Hosted payments page changes**

- The Transaction Complete screen is no longer shown to the user except for pay-by-link transactions. The user is redirected to the return URL instead.
- Added an email field to meet new 3DS requirements. This field is required if you are using a payment method that supports 3DS. 

**Bug fixes**
- Hosted payments page preview now translates to Polish if this language is selected.

**Enhancements**

- HPP enhancements - If HPP is configured to require a shipping address and a payment session with a shopper is used, the shopper's shipping address, if available, will now be prepopulated.
- Hosted card enhancements:
    - Forex advice can now be created from a hosted card.
    - Hosted cards no longer expire after their first use (e.g. creating a stored card). They now expire either after they have been used in transactions or after 30 minutes if unused.
- Account shopper statements - Shopper statement functionality determines how a transaction will appear on cardholder statements received from their banks. When no shopper statement is explicitly provided for a transaction, we will now default to the information specified on the account rather than the information received from the boarding system. The information specified on the account can be edited by the merchant in the Back Office UI.

**API changes**

- Added *logoUrl* to the :magic-link[Accounts]{id="converge-api-reference#tag/Accounts"} resource to identify the URL of the merchant's logo.
- Added *hostedCard* to the :magic-link[Forex Advices]{id="converge-api-reference#tag/Forex-Advices"} resource to allow hosted card support.
- Added *allowedPaymentMethods* and *allowedPaymentMethodOrigins* to the :magic-link[Payment Sessions]{id="converge-api-reference#tag/Payment-Sessions"} resource to specify the payment methods and origins allowed to be shown in the hosted payments page.
    - For backwards compatibility, when *doCreateTransaction* is false, the allowed payment methods default to "Card" because the integrator might be unprepared to create a transaction themselves with new payment methods. When *doCreateTransaction* is true, we default to everything supported for the merchant. Integrators can override the default if their integration can handle new payment methods.

**Back Office UI changes**

- User notification service - Announcements are now notified to users through the bell icon at the upper right corner of the Back Office UI. Clicking the icon opens a list of notices.
- Editing stored cards - Stored cards can now be edited from the Edit Subscription page.
- Password enhancements - Passwords no longer expire. Users are no longer required to log in immediately after setting their passwords.
- Account settings validation - Updated the maximum field length of the following account settings:
    - Account Name - 300
    - Company name - 300
    - Company email - 300
    - Address Line 1 - 300
    - Address Line 2 - 300
    - Postal Code - 50

**Bug fixes**

- Users logged in to the Back Office UI with multiple tabs now remain logged in on those tabs as long as they are active on at least one of them.

**Known issues**
